PHILADELPHIA PREMIERE
After Abraham’s children sell his Buenos Aires home, the 88-year-old tailor refuses to move into an assisted living residence. Convinced that there is nothing left for him in Argentina, he prepares to embark on the most important journey of his life. A survivor of Auschwitz, he returns to Poland depleted and frail with no family to care for him except for his friend, Piotrek. Abraham vows to Piotrek that he will lead a meaningful life and never forget Piotrek’s powerful act of kindness. After seven decades in South America, Abraham embarks on a trip to Poland that will be aided by kindly strangers imbued with sepia-toned nostalgia (and a klezmer-infused soundtrack), honoring the power of friendship in the face of adversity.
